Frequently Asked Questions

What does Draft It! allow me to do?

The Draft It! add-on allows you to add content to a post or page and store that content in draft mode: No one will be able to see this new content until you are finished with it and ready for it to go live.

Doesn’t WordPress already do this?

Not really. WordPress has a “Save Draft” feature that is useful before a post is published. Once published, there is no way for you to save new content without publishing it.

There is also an autosave feature which automatically saves your content as you go, however many people find this difficult to use. You don’t have control of which content you want to store as a draft and save for later.

Who is Draft It! for? Who could benefit from it?

Anyone who writes articles that are “timely”, meaning that the content needs to be updated as more information comes out. For example, imagine you have a news article about a current event and the police just put out a press release related to the topic. Draft It! allows you to take your time as you add your analysis and coverage of the new press release to your existing article. Without Draft It!, you would have to rush through this process and update the article all at once.

Draft It! is also for authors who like to take their time with the writing process. For example, suppose that you are very confident on 75% of a new article, however there is 25% of the article that you aren’t sure about. You don’t want to go live with the 25% immediately, but you also don’t want to lose what you have done so far. With Draft It!, you are able to go live and publish the article immediately. Simply designate the unfinished 25% of the article as a draft, then come back later to finish it off when you have more time.

How do I designate part of my content as a draft?

Highlight the desired content within the visual editor and click the Draft It! button.

What do I do when I am ready for the drafted content to go live?

Highlight the drafted content and click the Draft It! button again. This time, it will remove the Draft designation and the content will now be live when you save the updated post.

What happens if I don’t want to renew my license?

You can log in to your My Account page and choose to cancel your subscription at any time. If you cancel your subscription, your license will remain active for the remainder of the subscription year. After that subscription year ends you will no longer be eligible for product support, you won’t be able to download the plugin from your My Account page, and you will stop receiving plugin updates. Existing sites with the plugin already installed can continue using the plugin forever.

Where do I download the plugin?

After you have completed the purchase, you will be able to download the plugin by navigating to your My Account page > Downloads.

Where do I find my license key?

You will be able to locate your license key by navigating to your My Account page > License Keys.

What if I want a refund?

Not a problem! We stand behind our products and will refund your money 100% if you are unhappy with the plugin.

How do I get support?

If you need premium support, go ahead and send a message. Make sure to include your license key. Note that if it is after one year of your initial purchase date, and you have not since renewed your license, you will no longer be entitled to premium support.

I’m interested in purchasing, but I have a couple questions first. What should I do?

Feel free to reach out via the contact form if you have any questions or would like anything clarified. We are happy to help.
