Frequently Asked Questions

What does Bypass URL do?

The Bypass URL add-on allows you to provide your visitors with a special URL link which logs them in to your site automatically. The special bypass URL for your site will be http://www.yoursite.com/?hmbp=yourpassword.

Do I need to have Multipass in order to use Bypass URL?

No. Bypass URL will work in a case where you just have a single password for your entire site.

How do I use Bypass URL in combination with Multipass?

Though Multipass is not required, nonetheless one major strength of Bypass URL comes when used in combination with Multipass. With Bypass URL and Multipass both active, you are able to create multiple Bypass URLs – one for each of your passwords. Suppose you run a site where you provide private access to movie scripts that you are trying to sell to various companies. Let’s say one company is called CompanyA and the other is CompanyB. Using Multipass, you are able to create a password for CompanyA – let’s suppose the password is CompanyAPass. You also create a password for CompanyB – CompanyBPass. With Bypass URL, you are able to send a unique login URL to each of the two companies (http://www.yoursite.com/?hmbp=CompanyAPass and http://www.yoursite.com/?hmbp=CompanyBPass). If you are using Multipass with access levels, the log in will be treated the same as if the user had typed in the password and the user will have the access level that you assigned to the given password in the Hide My Site settings page.

Can I use Bypass URL in combination with Redirect?

Yes. The redirect URL will still apply and your visitors will be redirected to the page you assigned after being automatically logged in via your Bypass URL.

What happens if I don’t want to renew my license?

You can log in to your My Account page and choose to cancel your subscription at any time. If you cancel your subscription, your license will remain active for the remainder of the subscription year. After that subscription year ends you will no longer be eligible for product support, you won’t be able to download the plugin from your My Account page, and you will stop receiving plugin updates. Existing sites with the plugin already installed can continue using the plugin forever.

Where do I download the plugin?

After you have completed the purchase, you will be able to download the plugin by navigating to your My Account page > Downloads.

Where do I find my license key?

You will be able to locate your license key by navigating to your My Account page > License Keys.

What if I want a refund?

Not a problem! We stand behind our products and will refund your money 100% if you are unhappy with the plugin.

How do I get support?

If you need premium support, go ahead and send a message. Make sure to include your license key. Note that if it is after one year of your initial purchase date, and you have not since renewed your license, you will no longer be entitled to premium support.

I’m interested in purchasing, but I have a couple questions first. What should I do?

Feel free to reach out via the contact form if you have any questions or would like anything clarified. We are happy to help.
