How soon do Multipass settings take effect when you change a password?

Question

When you update a password using Hide My Site Multipass, how long do you have to wait for the changes to start working?

Answer

The settings should take effect immediately when you change a password. A couple notes:

-For the Duration setting, let’s say a user logs in when the login duration is set to 10 days. If you go in the next day and change the duration to 2 days. That user would still have 9 more days until they need to log in again. This setting only applies to future users who log in with the password.

-If you change the password itself, that won’t effect current users who are previously logged in using the old password. This setting also only applies to future users who log in with the password.

-If you need a user to be logged out immediately, you can delete the password. If you do that, all users who are using that password would instantly be logged out.

Thanks for taking the read this quick Multipass update. Hope you find it helpful. Please feel free to share in the comments how you end up implementing the user’s password data on your site.
