Unsplash = Awesome Hide My Site Background Images

Have you heard of Unsplash.com? I just came across this site recently and wanted to share with you because it’s great a resource to have at your disposal when it comes to choosing visually appealing background images for your Hide My Site login pages. Note that you have to be using Hide My Site premium in order to set custom background images for your login pages.

Unsplash is another excellent source of free (ie do whatever you want) high-resolution photos. The photos on this site are very high quality, very unique, and have an “artsy” feel to them.

This post will outline how to set a custom background image in Hide My Site, using Unsplash. As always, here is a look at what we are working towards…

Step 1. Locate your image

Start by going to https://unsplash.com/.  Find a photo that you like and download it. In my case, I browsed over to the Collections section and found a collection called “Color and Form” from which I chose a nice patterned image.

Step 2. Assign your image as the background image

In your WordPress admin > Settings > Hide My Site > Custom Background Image, click “Upload Image”. Upload your image from step 1.

Set the “Background Image Position” field to Crop to fit and then save.

Step 3. Check out your awesome work

This new background image is sure to impress your site visitors!

So far we have explored three sites that should give you a good start in your search for background images:

  1. https://pixabay.com/
  2. https://www.pexels.com/
  3. https://unsplash.com/

If you come across any other sites that you think are worth a look, please share in the comments.

Thanks for taking the time to follow this tutorial. Hope you find it helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions or other feedback in the comments.
