Recommended background picture size for your Hide My Site login page

The Question

With Hide My Site Premium, you have the ability to set a custom background image for your login page. Many users have messaged me wanting to know what is the recommended picture size for the Hide My Site Custom Background Image?

The Answer

The truth is that there isn’t one size that works for everyone. I usually try to use a large enough image so that it doesn’t look blurry on larger screens, so I would say at least 700px wide.

Also depending on how you have your page set up, you might want to try playing around with the Background Image Position option set to Crop to Fit or Proportional Stretch. You can find this in your WordPress admin > Settings > Hide My Site > Background Image Position.

For example, with the following login page, I used a background image that was 1920 × 1281 pixels and I set the image position to “Crop to Fit”:
